Fran has extensive experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours. With nearly a decade of clinical work spanning forensic, acute, and rehabilitation settings, Fran has developed a deep understanding of managing risks and improving quality of life in diverse mental health contexts.

As a senior PMVA Instructor, Fran organised and facilitated training sessions, supervised and mentored instructors, and advised on best practices to promote safer and more effective management of violence and aggression.

• MSc Forensic and Criminal Psychology (Hons equivalent)
• BA Psychology

Along with her role with AITC, Fran is also currently working as part of a research team at City, University of London on an exiting project on how to improve communication during conflicts in mental health inpatient settings with the overarching objective to reduce restrictive practices and to provide evidence based guidance for clinicians and policy makers.
